We then had a brief 30 minutes break for a sandwich (even photographers need to refuel) before meeting our lovely couple at the Rodizio Rico Brazilian restaurant in Fulham. They were joined by more friends at this stage and they had a truly wonderful evening meal. I must admit, the food looked dead tasty.

All in all this was a really wonderful wedding– very warm, intimate and personal, and without a doubt one of our favourite weddings of 2011.

We normally have 30 minutes or so at weddings to take portraits of our couples, but in this case we were spoilt, as we had a full hour to get portraits of Maiko and Fabricio! This is unusual in the UK but the norm in the States, and we would encourage more couples to allow this much time– It really does allow us photographers to have more time to get a great range of creative and beautiful portraits. This full hour meant that we got some great images of Maiko and Fabricio sharing a picnic with their close friends at the park, followed by some relaxed portraits. We hope you love these pictures, and we look forwards to sharing part 2 of their day with you shortly!

We take a lot of time over our album designs, and we hope it shows. Our design style is clean and uncluttered, and we aim to present the images in a way that really tells the story of the wedding day. This means that every time a couple looks at their album they can relive their special day as if its was happening all over again. We couldn’t resist sharing a sneak peek from Fabricio & Maiko’s wedding, which was shot at 3 different locations across London– Richmond, Wandsworth and also Fulham. They are such a lovely couple (and really sweet together) and I think you can see from this one image how much in love they are. This was one of our favourite images from the day– for us it’s reminiscent of a scene from a classic Hollywood movie. We used a Sepia tone conversion in Photoshop to bring out this aesthetic even more in the image. We’re both inspired as much by TV and films as we are still photography, and like to bring this into our work. This portrait was taken in the beautiful Richmond Park, in South West London. More to follow from this beautiful wedding shortly.

“This photo that I took of Amy was and wasn’t an accident. I knew that Amy was playing around the tree and I loved the way this scene looked through my 70-200mm lens– the huge tree trunk and branches framing the picture, the sun shining through where hopefully Amy would at some point come and stand, making her backlit, and enough foreground to make her small in the picture. I wanted to create a ‘little girl lost in the forest’ type of shot.

After framing up the backdrop I just had to wait for Amy to come round and when she did I snapped away. I love the way her hand is resting on the tree and her right foot is in mid-run, giving a sense of movement. I won’t lie, Amy was hard to keep up with and sometimes too fast for my camera. But I’m glad that my patience for this photo paid off.”
